With a population of 8,989, Ladue, MO, has been voted one of the best places to live in Missouri for years. It’s just 15 minutes to downtown St. Louis and has been rated number three of the best places to raise a family in Missouri. Its also has highly rated public schools and a very low crime rate. In addition, Ladue feels rural while still being close to the city, so you get peace and quiet while still being close to all the fun, events, and adventure that comes with living near St. Louis. Ladue is the best of both worlds. 

Things to Do in Ladue, MO

Even though you are 15 minutes from downtown St. Louis, so you’ll never be without something to do, there are things even closer within Ladue for you to enjoy and explore. 

Tilles Park

There’s something for everyone to enjoy at Tilles Park. There’s a long walking trail where dogs can be walked, kids can ride little bites, and adults can take a minute out of their day to enjoy some fresh air. For those with kids, there are toddler-friendly slides and playgrounds and older kid playgrounds. There’s also a fountain that kids can enjoy on hot days and plenty of open grass where you can throw a ball with the dog to have a picnic. You can feed ducks at the pond or go fishing, and there are tennis courts and a baseball field too!

Tilles Park even has shelters you can rent for events, and several reviews rave about how clean it always is and how easy it is to find parking. 

During the holiday season in December, there is a huge light festival set up throughout the park. 

Stacy Park Playground

Though it’s technically in Olivette, Stacy Park and Playground is just outside Ladue limits making it very convenient for those who live nearby. Set on 35 acres, this park features ball fields, drinking fountains, pavilions you can rent, picnic tables, restrooms that are open year-round, a walking path, and beautiful prairie habitat areas. They even have grills already there for you to use! In addition, there’s a playground with a range of toddler and older kid activities, and it’s also disabled accessible. 

Country Clubs and Golf

Ladue is a higher-end city with the average home being $770,000. However, to complement this higher quality of living, there are a lot of country clubs and golf courses to enjoy. For example, there is the Old Warson Country Club, Bogey Golf Club, and the St. Louis Country Club. All of these require memberships, offer many excellent amenities, and keep a high standard of decorum and class.
